So I found out about an hour ago that one of my dogs passed away in the night. I was just about to get up and start getting ready for class too when my mom's boyfriend told me... It doesn't even feel real right now, like my girl- my sister- she's dead. But I can't stop crying and I can't even bring myself to go downstairs because I can see her wrapped up in a sheet. She was also my mom's dog, and my mom loved her a lot; we had to call my mom this morning because she's out on a business trip. She was coming home from that trip tonight. I could tell she was crying when we told her; I was too. However, we didn't want her walking in the door expecting her lovable old dog to come running at her when we she wouldn't. I can't even bring myself to go say goodbye to her.... I don't want to see her body; I don't want to see that she's not breathing and I don't want to feel that she's not warm like she always was. I don't if I even feel up for heading out today, but I know class is important and I shouldn't miss it. I'm just not sure I can go through with all of that right now without bursting into tears in the middle of a lecture...

I'll be posting some of the pictures I have of her when I get the chance, but right now I just- I don't know what to do anymore. I'm still blubbering about this and every time I look around the corner of my stairs, I can see the sheet. She was such a sweet old girl too- yeah, we knew she was an older dog, but she was only 11 or 12; doc said she should've had a few more years in her.

I've gotta figure out what to do with my other dog right now- he's only 4 and he grew up with her as a motherly figure. I don't know how he's going to deal with being alone today, so I want to stay home with him(aside from my own reasons) but I don't know if I can stay in the house knowing her body is right in the den and that I'm too scared to say goodbye.

i feel tired and lost and I don't even know what to do just shit fuck and God dammit
